We are so beyond excited to see where Oster’s journey takes us in the future! It is with a huge heart, we say our most sincerest thank you to Savio Steele, for entrusting us with this gorgeous, highly achieved boy.  

Oster is such an incredibly sweet boy. The first day I met him, he gave me a big kiss. He also allowed me to show him to 3 BOB wins the very weekend I went to pick him up. He has been introduced to other dogs and has yet to growl. He usually resorts to trying to play, which is incredibly adorable. In addition to dogs, I introduced him to my kids and several cats, including cats that are always around my dogs, and he sniffed and welcomed them to join him. He likes to give them kisses but he’s very gentle and never aggressive. He is incredibly active and loves to go on runs with me in the woods with the other Basenjis here at home. He can be weary of new people, but that is expected as the breed standard does say “Can be aloof with strangers.” But he usually quickly warms up to them, especially if they have food! We also are working on some extra training and manners to hopefully help increase his gentle, sweet side to continue to thrive and come out to anyone who meets him. He is a very handsome, nicely built boy with amazing movement including beautiful reach and drive. He has great angulation and nice portions all over. I think he will be an asset to anyone’s breeding program who is looking to improve on structure and temperament. I know I look forward to using him in my own breeding program; creating a family of dogs that people will remember and I can be proud of. 

Oster is available to approved females, but as a person who strongly believes in health and wellness, he will only be approved to females who have had all recommended health tests as per the Basenji Club of America and CHIC. I do understand that foreign registries do not require Thyroid and Hips, however I do ask that these be completed before using Oster. If we can provide more information for just a little bit of extra money regarding our adult breeding dogs, which will directly benefit the puppies produced and ourselves in producing a healthier next generation, why wouldn’t we?
